About

Welcome to Ethno Livin

Allow me to introduce myself, I am A.H. Assad, the sole author of Ethno Livin. I am an independent anthropologist and writer with ethnographic fieldwork experience since 2004, focusing on culture and maritime affairs, spatiality, and tourism. Since 2018, I have taught at three universities for courses in applied qualitative research methodology, anthropology, and tourism. In 2026, I decided to share my knowledge and experience thru a blog, and Ethno Livin is the medium for that purpose.

Ethno Livin contains articles that focus on the existence of ethnography both as a method and technique for identifying and understanding daily culture. Based on this, this blog is addressed to anyone with any purpose related to the existence of ethnography, such as for study needs, business development, or to understand the surrounding culture. And although the articles on this blog are based on personal knowledge and experience, I welcome input for the progress of this blog thru your criticism, whether directly or via email.

Happy reading, and thank you for visiting Ethno Livin.
